Korea Trip: Fourth Day

Assalamualaikum
Please note that even though we went wandering around Korea by our own, we're still basically going to Korea with our dad, so the budget stated in the beginning (did I even put any?) is not that accurate.

On the fourth day, we decide on going to Hongdae to go to the Hongdae Trick Eye Museum. So, we took the subway from Yeongdeungpo Market and transfer to Line 2 and stop at Hongik University (exit 9).
Our first plan was to take a cab to the Trick Eye Museum but no cab knows the place, so we just stood there at the exit looking around for someone who's willing to slow down their step to help this four lost lamb.
Thankfully, we saw a girl wearing a hijab, so we approached her as she's with her other foreigner friends and lucky for us that she's from Malaysia as well.
So we ask her if she knows how to go to Trick Eye Museum or not and the luck was on us as she told us that her friends are heading that way as well, so we went to the place together.

That's a lot of picture right? There are more of it but at some point, we got tired of taking pictures, so we ended up just walking around. I never thought I'd ever feel tired taking pictures before. Some people were cool there, there were these two girl from Indonesia who helped us take pictures and in return, we take pictures for them as well and there was this cute Korean couple who were so sweet with each other. They ask us to take picture for them. However, there were also some rude people who keep on pushing us around when we take pictures or just interrupt us while we take our pictures.

Anyway, after finish touring the whole place, since we haven't ate anything, we ordered some muffin at the cafe there and I really like the vitamin water in Korea that I keep on drinking it wherever I go, so I ordered one as well. Some idol, I forgot which, called it 'celebrity water' as it was showed in the drama, 'The Greatest Love' as well.

Afterwards, we went to Namdaemun to meet with our dad again as he's there with his friends just walking around while the students on the tour went around some universities. We met our dad at A Twosome Cafe and then we prayed there as well. After that, we went across the road to the Namdaemun market to buy some souvenir as Aina told me that Namdaemun have a lot of souvenir.

When we walk there, we saw some street food and we haven't eat anything from morning, so we decided to have some food to eat and for some weird reason, we just pass by the first stall and went towards the second one. The unnie there was so nice to us, she knows we don't eat meat, so she asks if we eat seafood and we said we do. So we ordered seafood pajeon and vegetable pajeon, ddeokbukki, and japchae for the four of us to eat.
(I thought we have pictures of our food but we don't, so yeah)
After we finish eating, we walk around and saw two halmeoni (grandma) selling souvenirs, so we bought all the souvenir we need there since it's cheap there.

Then, we walk back towards the cafe and then we follow the tour towards Itaewon to join our dad for buffet dinner. Yeah we know we just ate, but it was like very little considering that all the food we ordered was for one person but the four of us ate it together. After finish eating, we thought of walking around by ourself and then we saw a CD shop and we enter. For someone like me who doesn't like shopping for clothes, that place is like my most favorite place at the time considering that I'm there to look for well, bags, shoes or Infinite albums. I ended up buying 2 DVD and Infinite first mini album.

Then, we saw our dad and he ask us to go shopping with him so we did. He walked into 'shoemaker' shop and told us that his feet hurts while walking in his boots, so he want to buy a new shoe (like father, like daughter). No wonder my sister is like that, I'm thankful that I brought extra sneakers to Korea. My brother is quite the shopaholic as well, like my youngest sister, so he is trying some shoes to buy as well, even though he already bought one at Dongdaemun. Then, surprisingly our dad told us to pick one pair of shoes each and he will pay for it. This is beyond surprised. We were there just to accompany him, I don't even have any plan on buying any shoes there because I think my shoes are still fine. After finish buying all our stuff, we took taxi back to the hostel since we were already so tired at that time.

When we reached the hostel, after resting for a few minutes, dad send a whatsapp message to us which actually touches us a lot, that we teared up after reading it,
"Terkejut ke babah belikan kasut tadi? Dulu kita susah, kan? Takpe, ada rezeki sekarang kita kongsi sama-sama. Alhamdulillah!"

Alhamdulillah
Never once I forget where I came from and how hard dad worked to be where he is now.
He climbed up from below and though the time spent with us while climbing up was lost, we gain something else. :)
