Hello
As a mukadimah for EIK (Experience in Korea), I'm gonna share about how I ended up studying there.
The questions that I've received:-
- How to get scholarship for Korean Language?
- Did I went under scholarship or private?
- How did I apply?
- How do you know which language school to choose?
1. How to get scholarship for Korean Language
I did not went under any scholarship for Korean Language. Thus, I am not so sure how to get a scholarship for one.
However, in the language school, there are students who get scholarship from the school, which is usually by getting the highest score in your level and you'll get a scholarship for the next level.
I am not sure whether this applies to other korean language school in other university.
2. Did I went under scholarship or private?
As mentioned above, I did not went under any scholarship, thus making it private I guess.
I often received question on how much did I spend to study the language there and I usually feel very uncomfortable in sharing things related to my financial there.
What I can answer is that the price for 1 level at SNU LEI (Seoul National University Language Education Institution) used to be KRW 1,580,000 for morning class but I realized that it is now KRW 1,650,000
I won't be able to give info on my living cost there though
3. How did I apply?
I pretty much went to the process of applying to the language school by myself.
I only asked Dixxon who had been studying there ahead of me for help about the resume and the statement of purpose to get more understanding on what they actually need.
I just went to the website and try to figure out how to apply, BUT before making an application, make sure you have registered at the website.
This is the language school that I've attended (click on the pic to bring you to the site)
4. How do you know which language school to choose?
I've only looked at 3 school, SKY (Seoul Natinal University, Korea University and Yonsei University)
So I've only considered to enter either 1 of the 3 schoolsI previously emailed them with question in regards to the things I couldn't understand about the application process and SNU (Seoul National University) happened to be the only school that replies me.
Therefore, I applied there. This is probably I'm very particular when it comes to services, so I liked that they reply to me.
Those are the questions that I usually get at my ask.fm
Hoping that it helps
Thank you for reading.
